COMPLEMENTARY CANCER CARE

COMPLEMENTARY CANCER CARE

Complementary Cancer Care

Dear Current and Future Clients,

As a current or future client of The Washington Institute of Natural Medicine (WINM), you take an active role in your health and seek out every available option for your wellbeing. We know that you value alternative care and the opportunity to partner with practitioners who will care for your whole person. For that reason, WINM wanted to make you aware of a cancer treatment option that combines leading-edge traditional therapies with a wide variety of holistic, complementary offerings.

Recently, I had the opportunity to learn about the Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) in Philadelphia. For nearly 30 years, CTCA has been committed to finding the right combination of advanced conventional treatments and personalized, supportive complementary medicine therapies that are aimed to help patients fight their disease and maintain a good quality of life.

It is clear that CTCA and WINM share a similar philosophy and approach to patient care as many empowered patients from the DC metro area already have selected the Philadelphia location as their hospital of choice. When they arrive at CTCA, patients are evaluated over the course of three to five days. During that time, they are educated on numerous conventional modalities as well as complementary medicine therapies such as acupuncture, massage, nutrition consultation, psychological counseling and other holistic methods, aimed to help them stay strong during treatments and beyond. By the end of their visit, patients and their caregivers meet one-on-one with a multidisciplinary team of experts who provide an individualized treatment plan, tailored to their particular needs.

We’re pleased to tell you that patients who decide to treat at CTCA can continue their alternative treatments at home with WINM practitioners who are in constant communication with the CTCA team. Along with the partnership, WINM will also offer classes in massage, body mechanics, acupressure, reflexology and more to CTCA patients and caregivers. CTCA will notify its DC metro area patients of the upcoming classes.

If you are in search of a uniquely innovative type of cancer treatment facility, then we would be happy to put you in touch with the team at Cancer Treatment Centers of America at which point they will evaluate your medical records and help decide if CTCA is the right choice for you!

If you have any questions please feel free to give us a call or visit our website. Additionally, DC metro area CTCA representative Sera Snyder can be reached at 215.688.1466.

Best regards,

Dr. Victoria Goldsten, HD, PhD, LMT, LPN, BSN,
Director
